God doesn't need a YFN service to do something crazy.
Last weekend, I went to see my friend Emily in Shreveport. It was nice seeing her. I also got to see Renee and Josh Newman. 'twas nice. Sunday we went to church. I was expecting a normal church service: worship, word, maybe an alter call. Well when we got there, this old woman was speaking and I just expected it to be kinda boring, read some bible verses and sing some hymns and whatnot. Boy, was I wrong! She started to say all these things to the church and prophesying about the future of the church. In the middle of all of that, she looked at me, called me out and started talking about me and "reading my mail". I was so surprised! Then she just went back into her message. The Spirit was moving like crazy and she called a bunch of people to pray over the congregation. She called out Josh Newman and started talking about his gift of intercession and wanted him to stand behind her and intercede for the rest of the service. She then called every born-again person to the front (it was a pretty small church of about 50-60) and she started prophesying over people and people were getting healed and falling out in the Spirit. It was cool seeing all these old people falling out and stuff. Then, in the middle of all that, she calls me out again. She started prophesying over me and praying. I was praying too and everything that came out was in tongues--I couldn't even say real words! Everything just came out as mush. HAHA! I'm just laughing about it right now. And one of the coolest things about it was that the service went from 10:30 to about 1:30, but it felt like 20 minutes. There was no rush to end, but the Spirit was in control. Ahh, so good. CRAZY stuff. God is good.

Whoa! That's awesome :)
ReplyDeleteGod opened a door last night for my roommate and I to talk and clash a lil' on some spiritual issues. I'll try to blog about it later.
